Crossword Puzzles! (K-6 / 7-12) Who doesn’t love relaxing with a fun crossword puzzle? Solve the clues and fill in your columns while learning about all the ways pesticides are impacting our environment and food system. Try not to peak at the answer key unless it gets too hard!
Pollution Soup (6-12) This fun activity demonstrates the different types and sources of pollution that damage our waterways. It introduces the concept of watersheds, and prompts students to consider how their actions affect water quality.
Area of a Leaf (6-8) Time for some math! Use some of those leaves you gathered outside to practice taking measurements of irregular areas. See how different types of leaves compare and what that might tell you about the plant.
Fish Anatomy (K-5 / 6-8) Learn about all of the parts of a fish and what they’re used for! Don’t worry if you don’t have an ECO-Cycle or a fish tank. We’ve provided a “reasonably” realistic fish model to use to identify and label each body part of our scaly friends.
