We work at the intersections of humans and wildlife in Mexico, Uganda, and the US

Sustainable Farming: Preserving California’s Biodiversity

At home, we focus on improving agriculture to save land and resources for our local wildlife. We design and build aquaponics systems that provide people with efficient ways to grow nutrient-dense food.

Protecting The Monarch Butterfly in Mexico

Deforestation prevents forests from insulating butterflies from fatally cold temperatures. We build fuel-efficient stoves that help preserve the monarch’s winter habitat by decreasing demand for fuelwood, all while uplifting communities.

Saving The Mountain Gorilla’s Disappearing Habitat

In Uganda, the mountain gorilla’s rare cloud forest habitat is shrinking away. We work to preserve the forest and the indigenous cultures living around the protected areas through fuel-efficient stove building and community empowerment.
