Juan Carlos Jaimes Arteaga

Since meeting Bill Toone in 2011, Juan Carlos has acted as ECOLIFE’s link to Mexico’s government agencies and various sectors of Mexican society.

He earned his master’s degree in Public Management at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey and has worked in both the private and public sectors. His CV includes serving as President of the Legal Commission of Michoacán’s Banking Center as well as Chief of the Legal Affairs Unit for the Social Development Secretariat.

Juan Carlos is a former professor at several local universities and an active member of the Collegiate Bar of Lawyers from Michoacán, Civil Association (Barra Michoacana Colegio de Abogados A.C.). He is a founding partner of the Center for Studies and Political Training (Fundación Académica Acciones Por México A.C.), a partner and chairman at the Administration of American Educational and Integral Projects (Administradora de Proyectos Educativos e Integrales de América), and a partner and administrator at Orange Tree Mx.

Through ECOLIFE, Juan Carlos feels he touches people’s souls, helping them better integrate into communities and strengthening their commitment to nature. In his free time he enjoys cycling, offroading, and playing music. He is father of two children and a loving husband to his wife Mariana, who is a doctor of applied economics.
