Mr. Daryl B. Williams received his business degree from Florida State University. He brings over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry with expertise in marketing, program management, reinsurance, underwriting, and loss projection. In 2000, Mr. Williams started Risk Transfer Holdings, a Managing General Agency (MGA) for distressed lines of business. During his time with the company, he managed in excess of 200 million dollars of business insurance premiums. The company successfully made Insurance Journals “Top 100 Agencies in America” in its first 5 years of business.
Mr. Williams is the co-founder of EMPAC Risk Retention Group (RRG) and is CEO of EMPAC Managers, the attorney-in-fact managing the operations of the RRG. EMPAC is a single specialty RRG that writes medical professional liability coverage for emergency room physicians. The EMPAC model was used to develop similar single specialty programs, like SCRUBS RRG; where he also serves as a director and chairman of the finance committee. In 2012, Physicians Insurance A Mutual Company acquired the management companies of EMPAC and SCRUBS to offer alternative risk programs to physicians, clinics, hospitals, their respective single/multi-state associations, and other healthcare facilities. He continues to manage the day to day operations of EMPAC while working to increase the RRG footprint nationwide.
Daryl dedicates his resources to improve the operations of nonprofit organizations. He currently serves on the board of directors for ECOLIFE Conservation. This charity is helping to balance global communities with sustainable solutions. On a personal note, he spends his free time in the Yellowstone Ecosystem where he owns an equestrian and recreational ranch in Southwest Montana.
