The Joys of Volunteering

Harvest produce at our Aquaponics Innovation Center, help us prepare ECO-Cycle Aquaponics kits for classrooms, or bring your unique skill sets to help our team in the office. Volunteers must be 18 or older to participate.

Aquaponics Education Intern

The Education Intern will work under the direction and mentorship of the Aquaponics Education Coordinator to support program related needs. Projects may include: ECO-Cycle maintenance and manufacturing, data entry & analysis, inventory accounting, classroom visits, curriculum implementation, and writing opportunities.

Nonprofit Management Intern

The Nonprofit Management Intern will work under the direction and mentorship of the Aquaponics Program Manager to support program related needs. Projects may include: project design, content development, editing documents, public speaking, grant writing, attending various events, data analysis, and more.

Aquaponics Technician Intern

The Aquaponics Tech Intern will work under the direction and mentorship of the Aquaponics Technician to support program related needs. Projects may include: planting seeds, harvesting produce, research, water quality testing, system maintenance, attending events, as well as construction assistance using wood, metal and PVC.

Development Intern

The Development Intern will work under the direction of the Development Director on projects relating to fundraising and development of individual and corporate donors. All duties will have the central focus of cultivating and strengthening new and existing donor relationships.

Social Media & Marketing Intern

The Marketing Intern will work under the direction and mentorship of the Media Coordinator to help develop & implement social media marketing strategies, assist with content creation, and perform research and analysis.

Community Outreach Intern

The Community Outreach Intern will work under the direction and mentorship of the Community Outreach Coordinator to support program related needs. Projects may include: recruiting/scheduling volunteers, data entry & analysis, site visits, editing documents, public speaking, aquaponics maintenance, and attending events.

Event Planning Intern

The Event Planning Intern will help with the planning and execution of events. Projects may include: research on individual and corporate donors, creating and maintaining spreadsheets, action plans, and fundraising evaluations, and leveraging social networks to strengthen relationships with existing donors.
